Oh Nooooo!!! My AC croaked.

Post by dcn »

Dad and I were out today testin the AC to see if it was cold. While on the highway, we noticed the digital thermometer stopped dipping when it got into the 40's and it started climbing.. Thinking the AC was just cycling, we let it go a little longer than we should have, and it continued to climb. I stopped for some construction, and noticed a faint cloud of smoke ignore the stopped traffic and continue ahead.. Whoa crap..

Last time, a couple years ago, we were in the yard and when my slowwwly leaking compressor ran dry of oil it only locked for a second before we caught it. This time the thing ran for at least a min, and can't be turned.. I think this time there's no saving it..

Does anyone have one they're ship to Canada? I'm tryin to get some idea of what it'll cost to get it replaced..

Please help! I know I'm in Canada, but it's hot up here!
