WTB: Working Cold Mixture Heater (CMH, carb base heater)

None of the ones I have pass the FSM test of 0.5-2.0 ohms at 68*F.

Looking for one that will pass the FSM test. Let me know what you've got.

Thanks!

I think I have several of these in my many boxes of parts from the cars I parted out years ago. I do not know if they are any good. but you are welcome to them. I will have to dig one out for you.

do you really think you need them in this area? seems to me it is was a means to delay ice formation on the throttle upon cold start until the exhaust warms up the intake manifold. it seems we rarely get carb icing condition here, so I would not know if the one in my car works or not.

I'm just working my way through the Emissions chapter of the FSM, measuring, adjusting, replacing as needed. It's probably NOT needed, but might as well have it all working, or swap to a Weber.
