left front door handle

Post by Erikwi » Sun Aug 09, 2020 5:31 pm

i broke mine taking it off.
if anyone would be willing to carefully take one off a parts car i would be willing to pay $40 for a good one.
might be easier to cut off the actuator rod.

it is part number 6922016040
that turned up empty for me

with the interior door handles I have noticed that the drivers side handle can be replaced with the interior rear passenger side on my Corolla. I wonder if this the same parts standardisation with the tercel?

Hey all,

He appears to be looking for the outside door handle.

Today I’ll be buying an entire new door for this reason. Well that and my window regulator is fucked. I’ll have a look at my old one when it comes off to see how bad it really is (part of it broke off inside the door and I haven’t removed it just yet)

Also, I don’t know what shipping a couple fenders would cost, but the car I’m getting the door from is the same color as yours, just sayin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: car was repainted a dark grey, it just looked lighter in the photo.

What broke about yours? The one I took off of my car is broken in such a way that I think a healthy serving of jb Weld might fix it. That splined metal bit that presses into the plastic part fell out when part of the plastic around it cracked and broke. It’s in pretty good shape otherwise, might work in the meantime?

Checked the left rear handle at pick n pull yesterday and it’s a completely different mechanism. I’ll try epoxying my old one today to see if it might work
