Parts car

Post by NWMO » Sat Dec 14, 2019 10:36 pm

Hey all,

I think this was advertised as an 84’, not certain. A little over 3 hrs south, all went well.

No title and pretty rough. I figure to strip most of the car and scrap the shell next year. We’re supposed to get our first real snow tomorrow, put it up some to avoid the wet winter.

I need a coolant overflow tank, rear seat, and the most difficult part I cannot find is the passenger side front amber marker lens. Are you willing and able to part with any of these items please?

This car is missing the passenger side amber marker. I will check the radiator overflow tank today. The rear seat is there, but likely not in the best shape, I will get some pics.

The tenth digit of the VIN tells you the year (minus I, O, Q, U, and 0). If it is an ‘84, the digit would be an “E.” My 1981 has the letter “B.” An ‘87 is “H”, etc.

That is indeed an ‘83. How much snow did you get in StJoe? We were in Independence/Lees Summit Saturday and Sunday. We left at 11:00 Sunday morning. That was fun driving on 435 through the snow with three children in the van ages 22 mo to 8 years. And Petros is definitely on to something with the Gambler idea.

We got a couple inches. Nothing too bad for me, but for most missourians, its prolly the snowpocalypse to them lol.

St. Joe had 5 inches or so, just a couple up north in Maryville.
