Post by Ellisdee »

I’m in need of a windshield for my 85 wagon..I’m in Washington but will be heading through Oregon to Sacramento at the end of the month...I’d be willing to alter my route to pick one up...mine got hit by a damn rock from a truck...

Did it spiderweb? I got a chip that I'm about to fix with that windshield repair stuff...seems like it will work pretty well.

can you wait until you get to california? in the Seattle area glass shops can special order the T4wd glass, but they are I think over costly. and getting the tinted visor along the top edge is difficult. But when I was in Los Angeles I met a local Mobil installer who did a great job for half the price when i was visiting my parents with a rescue T4wd. when I bought recovery cars to drive back home, and I was stopping to visit my parents in LA area, I would call the same guy and he gave me a great price if I paid in cash.

On another trip, was visiting a PickAndPull in northern california, out in the parking lot they had a glass installer under a tent. I check prices with them, and they too were about half as much as the Seattle area, but they needed a day to order the Tercel4wd windshield.

More competition between suppliers means lower prices.
