one photo provided... body looks pristine, down to the like-new windshield molding and other body accents

too bad it's not a 4WD

anyone know if i could swap the transmission from this thing into my '88 sr5 4wd? ive been looking for a new z54f trans for the past 6 months, 5th is out on mine and 1st is slipping and i can't find a rebuild kit to save my life. im in portland and might go check this thing out if i can just throw the transmission in, having 5 working gears is more important to me than 4wd (at least for the summer).

yes, it should bolt up and work. but the shift lever may be in a different place on the floor (if I recall it is slightly further forward about an inch or two). it might still work with the current hole in the trans tunnel, but you may have to clearance it. Many of the internal parts of the FWD trans are interchangeable with the 4wd drans, so you might even be able to use it for parts to get your 4wd trans working.

you will also have to remove the drive shaft all the way back to the rear diff, not a big deal, but you do not want to leave it flopping around in there.
