Needed; Rear Differential ("Pig") for '84 Tercel

I think anything from '82 to'86 (Gen II) should work. Even an equivalent vintage RWD Corolla? I do not need the axle housing or axles but that is the only way to get the Diff, that is OK too.

there are at least three different ring and pinion gear ratios in that year range ('82-86). the '84 t4wd with manual trans should have the 3.73:1 ratio, the auto trans has something else, I think a 3.89:1 (or something similar). The '85 and newer used 4.1:1 ring and pinion ratio.

So unless you have a selection of the front drive gear ratios, you will need to match the front and rear ratios. you will want either a '83 or '84 rear diff assembly with the 3.73:1, unless you have an auto transmission Tercel4wd. That assembly BTW is called a third member.

I am using the axle in a RWD (only) kit car so I do not have to match any FWD Diff ratio. I would actually prefer the 4.1:1 ratio but they will all work for me as long as they will bolt into the '84 Tercel axle housing & axles I have.
Do you know if and what Corolla "Third-Members" might also work?

the RWD corolla should work, I am pretty sure the Tercel4wd used the corolla rear axle. the DX model only, not the GTS, that uses a larger diff assembly.
