85 For parts in yard

Post by Rednecklawrence »

This Tercel ( http://row52.com/Vehicle/Index/JT2AL32W4F0194354 ) is located near me. If any members need a part I could possibly pick it for them. It's mostly complete, with the exception of some interior plastic bits and lights I took. Has 318k on it. Lemme know

If it has the adjustable intermittent wipers or cruise control, I'd be interested in those parts.

I thought they all had the same wiper thingy? Guess I'm wrong... As for the cruise control I'd say it looks aftermarket, but I've never actually seen a stock one... Send me some pics of both of those and we can go from there

I don't have pictures of either of these options, unfortunately.

Is it the one with the wipers and cruise on the same stick? If so this car does not have that. I found a pic of that one

Hey RNL,

Any guess to the price for the headlight surrounds and side lights. I don’t need harness, bulbs, etc., just the plastic housings. Here are a couple pics of mine, I think the sidelight on my car currently is for 2WD.

The chrome looking plastic surrounds? I might just have some spares lying around, same with the corner marker lights. It would probably be easier for the both of us if I sent you the whole light, bulb, wire and all. I've got about 4 sets lol. As for price, I don't know what these go for, but I'd say $20 + whatever shipping is. I'm not sure if I have the plastic surrounds though, so I might need to go picking... I'll keep you posted

Hey RNL,

I only need the surround on the passenger side and both marker lights. Paypal or MO or check, let me know when convenient. Thanks.

Normal Tercel Wipers:

MIST (push up for one wiper cycle)
OFF
LOW
HIGH

Intermittent Tercel wipers:

OFF
INT
LOW
HIGH

This is different than the super super rare cruise control adjustable intermittent wipers which are hen's teeth.

From a tercel, or from another car needing modification?

Far as I know, all DX's have the mist feature, and all SR5's have the intermittent (except of course for the elusive adjustable intermittent/cruise control- which I've never encountered.) Also, I'm pretty sure the controls differ between 4 and 5 pin wiper motors.
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

It was off an 87’ auto Tercel 4wd. I’m wondering if the rare intermittent wiper/cruise control switch only came in the auto versions post 84’? Since it was an auto it wasn’t an SR-5, but if was a well optioned car. It also had A/C and a sunroof. I got those too.
