WTB/WTT: Blue Inclinometer Hood

Post by The Professor »

I just came into an inclinometer for my '86 T4WD, but it has a brown hood. Does anyone out there in Tercel land have a dark blue hood they want to sell or trade?

Thanks!

Sun? What's that? All I know are rain clouds...

Painting is a thought, but I figure I should check with the group first. I prefer to go "OEM" wherever possible.

Are you sure they ever made blue ones? All I've ever seen is tan or gray.

Well, I guess I need grey. I'm still learning about these little T4WDs after spending the last decade+ honing my vintage Subaru knowledge.

I just need whatever color is NOT the brown, hahaha!

there are two colors of brown, one kind of a peanut butter color, the other slightly darker with a greenish cast to it, and the kind of gray with a blish cast. There was also black in the later years, but the inclinometer was discontinued in North America by the time they had a black intirior option I think in 1987-88. Come to think of it, the darker brown also only came '85 and later, when they had eliminated the inclinometer in North America.

so the only two colors for the inlcinomter hood in North American is the peanut butter brown, and the grey color. I have a project car with a black dash I intent to retrofit an inclinometer into it, and I will likely be either covering the hood with black vinyl or spray painting it black, and put several coats of clear over it.
