just so you know togashi, the one in that pic is from a 4runner/pickup. the tercel inclinometers have a '4wd' icon that lights up when 4wd is engaged, rather than the altimeter.

i just realized i should have also mentioned that the two styles are not interchangeable -- the angles of the dashboard is different in the two vehicles. i got a 4runner one for a friend with a first gen 4runner but before i gave it to him, i tested it to see if it would work in a tercel. although someone on here recently mentioned they put a 4runner inclinometer in a tercel...i asked for details or pics about it but i don't think they responded.

that altimeter would sure be cool, and a lot more useful around here in the Cascade mountain foothills. Elevation is useful for helping locate where you are on a map in mountainous terrain. I wonder if the JDM or Euro Tercels had the altimeter rather than the 4wd indicator.

Seems to me it should be possible to make the 4rummer one fit in the Tercel, you would have to make a wedge shaped spacer for the hood. Make it out of wood and either varnish it, or just paint it flat black to match the visor trim.

@Petros
I agree the altimeter would be much cooler and useful, I would even consider having something made with a 3D printer.

I have inclinometer a in both my tercel and 4Runner. I don't think it would matter functionally about the angle since they both have provisions for calibrating them. However sun glare might be an issue if the lens is at a funny angle.
