Toyotapartsoverstock.com they sell the cup holder new kinda pricey. I believe the extra small face plate is part #55522b and i dont see the metal brackets anywhere. They could be made up without much effort.

I put a set in mine. Pulled em out of my 87 hatch that got wrecked. My shifter doesnt hit it (remember I have that giant hurst one) but its pretty awesome to have. I honestly keep forgetting I have em though.

okay, I found this cup holder in by boxes of parts, one I was saving to install some day but not sure I want this style for my car. It looks like it would fit, but you can not adjust the radio with it open and you would lose the cubby below the radio.

I will sell to the highest bidder, what do you think it is worth? It comes with the metal mounting brackets as you can see. the plastic looks in decent shape, it works fine. one tang on the metal bracket is a bit bent, easy to correct. You likely will have to trim off the bracket anyway since it is taller than would fit in a T4wd. it extends 4.5" from the face plate, closed it protrudes about 1/2" from the face plate.

I think this cup holder was designed to be used with the extra tall bezel trim that I've seen. It's noticeably longer than the regular stereo bezel.

yes, the 2wd Tercels have a much taller center panel, it appears the tunnel is smaller than on our 4wd Tercels. On a 2wd Tercel they have the cup holder, the radio and a larger cubby compartment! but if the lower part of this bracket was trimmed off and you mount the radio in the holes right below the cup holder, it should all fit (but have not tried it, only held it up next to my center console). but you will have to loose the cubby compartment under the radio.

The one that I found at pick& pull has a small false face plate between cup holder and raido but that would be easy to make something maby a mini cubby.

So today i spent a good chunk of the day at pick&pull i found two more cup holders i tinkered with them in different consoles.
the cup holders themselves are not identical although they appear to be they have ever so slight different mounting points and the brackets are the big difference. As stated earlier this thread the consoles are not the same year to year or model to model so i got lucky that a 1988 auto has a direct swap cup holder with bracket for a manual trans t4 console. I own a 87 auto and it didn't come with cup holder it must be an 88 thing.

So everyone is right some fit,some don't fit and some need to be modified to fit.

Petros i no longer need your cup holder if you decide to put them in one of your cars however i would be happy to make exact copies of the brackets that fit perfect. Sorry to make you dig through your stuff

Wonder if a cup holder from the VW A4 (Golf, Jetta, Audi A3, Seat Leon etc.) would fit.
I just noticed the similarities between the one in the photo and one I have laying around from an Golf GTI. The early versions are notorious for a tiny clip that breaks and makes the drawer mechanism unusable. Mine is broken too. I just kept it as a spare because it has the wood trim. Newer versions are more sturdy. They slide right into the center dash and lock via metal tabs.
Case is 20mm high, cover 25mm (half DIN). 100mm deep, Drawer extends out by 110mm.
