Heh, doesn't matter what they look like, everyone here would probably choose their own. I love my Terc, even if the Texas one is in better shape I like mine.

My next T4WD may be a contender but has yet to be finished.

I set up a plug-able harness in the engine bay by the battery and ran the wires through the gap in the front quarter panel/cowl and up the A pillar with sticky sided wire loom guides. That way I could remove the rack and just unplug the wire harness.

I Like mine But hey maybe you will too.

Started live as a goldie I dont like gold cars But it was a great beginning low miles and AC for out hot CA summers ( I need an new AC pump now though)
The tires were small the rims gold andf my Partners wife loved to give me grief about how it looked UG! LEE! But I Like the thing more than I should.

She went out and bought a new Toyota FJ Yellow/ white top never to see dirt ........Oh well.

My clearcot was peeling so it was time for a little fun . Paint, wheels tires and presto the FJ version 1

Wheels are Miata I have always liked the mini lites these are close and very affordable Tires are 195/70 MS off of my VW Syncro which got 16's & BFG's

Chuck

Time for seat replacement since my Fat butt has broken the drivers side down.

Thanks DCN its a quicky Earl Schibe job I could not resist having the top painted white as a joke But it actualy turned out better than I thought and cooler .

I will be dooing a bumper thing /build in a rear fuel tank carrier and maybe a front steel one as well thinking about an alaska trip next year I have friends riding Bikes But I'm old and have given up riding after the last Illeagle put me in the hospital.

The Vanagon Westy Syncro would be the better choice for such a trip but never would keep up with the bikes ( I cant go that fast in the toyota but I can go longer and out of the weather.)

I have friend in Mane I should visit as well.

It's cramped small and ever so funky But I like these cars If i make any long trips I will camperise the interior so me and the Pup can take Naps when needed.

The deletion of the rub strips on both cars adds to the sleekness (OK - sleekness by our standards...).
they were color-matched because they were extremely sun damaged, as were most of the rubber/plastics/trim

You've probably figured this out, but it's easy to pull the lower seat cushion from the back seat and get decent extra room for camping gear. And only 4 bolts to pull the passenger seat if you're so inclined. A young woman was on here a couple years ago and did a great road trip in AK with a tercel and documented with lots of beautiful pictures.

Great looking car and the white roof is Hilarious!

Thanks terkill! Appreciate you saying so. Actually the roof still is original paint. There are a few very good conditioned cars on here yet, which is nice. I'm not sure Tercel wagons age anyway, so maybe I should stop thinking there might not be some left some day. Dad's has 3 years and 200,000km over mine and it's still on the road.
