The ultimate Toyota 4wd

I used to think the old Toyota Landcruisers were basically the best 4wds Toyota ever made...then I came across the 'Megacruiser'. The thing looks like a Toyota built Hummer, and is actually a military vehicle originally. Check out this link and the pic below:

I think they built it for the japanese military. it is basically a reverde engineered humvee only available in japan. comes w/ a diesel motor. pretty trick wagon.

its pretty interesting toyota would build a vehicle like this. the original cruisers were apparently a joint venture with willys as part of japanese post-war reconstruction (although i've heard they looked like jeeps prior to this) and were supposed to be called the Toyota Jeep, although the name never made it past the drawing board due to licensing woes. toyota and GM now do a lot of joint ventures, i wonder if this is one of them.
