offenhauser dual port manifold

Post by gatemaster »

Does anyone know if there is an offenhauser dual port manifold that will fit
this engine?

I saw this intake for an early model corolla, if I remeber corectly doesnt the corolla have the same engine or at least the same head port dimentions?
this design would add improved low end torque and mpg.

the offenhouser manifold are only for the 2tc engines, better off with the stock one, unsless you do some mayor work on your head

Don't the 2 and 3tc engines have identical intake mannies? If so.... Then if I do the 5-angle and all that good stuff....

I think a dual weber would be overkill. the dual port seperates the intake runner between the primary and secondary barrels of the carb so half the intake runner volume is all that needs to move when coming off idle resulting in improved response. Also the high speed primary accelerates the secondary when it kicks in. I think it would do wonders for this little engine.

Dual 38/38's would be overkill....
I saw a VW air-cooled 1.5L with dual 32/36's... Thing ran like a bat out of hell.

I was wondering if a 2t or 3t engine will swap in? Here is a pic of the corolla offy manifold that is supposedly available.

Dual 28's isn't too bad but I think it would take some other mods like a hefty cam to get the most out of them. I'm looking for some increased performance without killing the mpg.

That intake would never come close to fitting without MAJOR customization. You'd be better off making your own.

I see that now (Fingers) as I just took off the junky stock carb. I also had forgotten just how bad the stock intake is ,really nasty, kinks and bends all over.
There must be a better intake out there that could be modded to fit.
