Agreed on the rust - my posting was made prior to the added photos - still...
Oh, for the salad days when I could have bought it for the interior alone.
The inside is certainly gorgeous for a 23 year-old car!
The seller certainly seems candid, and that is good.

really
what are the odds of that. like 10000:1. thats choice ctishman
Well, not that bad, considering that Vermont is a very insular car market with very specific needs (deep winter snow and lots of families), so Tercs and the like (the Subaru Outback Wagon has since taken over as the car of choice there) tend to be in nearly every driveway. My main surprise was that it survived the road salt this long with little body damage.

terc
so would you call it the tercel capital?
No, the road salt's eaten 90% of them alive by now, which is why it's such a wonder to find one intact these days in the Northeast. the reason for the salt is so that the hugeass tour busses can get up the steep old highways to the ski areas in winter, bearing loads of angry, rude New Yorkers.
I'd say you'd be more likely to find tercs alive in the Southern and Western states, where they don't salt the highways so much.

Yeah I really don't get this salt thing! Here in Ontario across from Michigan they also salt the roads to hell! So much so that my friend used to store his VW bus on his driveway through the winter but the salt splashing around from cars on the road would reach his bus 20ft from the road! Now he sprays oil over his bus and covers it in plywood for the winter on his driveway just to beat the salt! I store my VW bus in my barn and absolutely do not drive it near salty roads!
I work at a dairy farm and luckily they have a wash bay there as in the winter I'm washing the salt off my Terc everyday!

It sold for $1425 to someone whose eBay handle is "pantherfla."
As to governmental funding of car washes - HA !
Well, at least not in Missouri...heck, our Governor cuts out Medicaid for poor folks.
