Come to think of it we could tap into the car's existing a/c system and route some of the refrigerant to the evaporator in the bar fridge, eliminating the need for a power source. Those things use R-134a.

Been a good while since I've checked out the solar panels:

<a href='http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Prod ... pId-385937' target='_blank'>http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Prod ... -385937</a>

This is about 1/3 A...let it run all day in the sun and party at night! :D :D

On a more serious note: if you watch how much current you use...1/3 A will go a long way as far as keeping it charged up.

Good idea if the fridge was surrounded by about 5" of styrofoam?

You should pack this into a kit and call it the takza survival package. :D I would buy one if you did. You never know what might happen out there in the middle of nowhere.

Here's a good place to research digital cameras:

<a href='http://www.epinions.com/Digital_Cameras' target='_blank'>http://www.epinions.com/Digital_Cameras</a>

I usually sort by ratings and then look for those that have maybe 5 or more reviews. This means they've been on the market a while at least......

My camera is similar to this one, but is only 640X480...I can take 1000 pics on the same batts if I don't use the flash...only downside is the lack of a zoom...does have a macro though...I'd buy this camera used even...mine has lasted 4 yrs or so. 2 are new cameras.

<a href='http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=photo' target='_blank'>http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s=photo</a>

You want the one with 16 MB memory...1.3 megapixel...need a USB port to download photos.

Looks good IF you don't want to go offroad a lot.

Would tow real well behind a Tercel.
