Post by Smatters09 »

so I have a question my tercel wagons an 83 DLX so no one speed wiper delay i know its only one speed but is nice to have that one delay speed for those lighter rains. Is it possible to swap the oem tercel wiper switch into my car and make it work whats all needed? Any info would be great thanks 😊

Yes, you can swap in a wiper switch with the intermittent setting, no problem. It's plug and play. However, the ones with the intermittent setting don't have the 'single swipe' function yours probably does (the one where you push the stalk up and it automatically goes back to its neutral position, and the wipers wipe once). It's too bad they didn't combine those features on one stalk.

However, if you want to get fancy you can find an adjustable intermittent wiper switch from some old Toyota trucks and 4runners, and it is pretty much plug and play with the t4. There is a write up on it here:

Hey Seth,

The other thing I had seen discussed was a relay that let you set a single delay time using your current set-up. Ivwill see if I can find the post.
