I was doing some 4wheeling with my buddies, nothing major, just some forest service roads. We came to a river crossing and they asked me who I wanted to ride with since they were both driving 4runners. I told them I wasn't riding with anyone and would drive myself.
The water was pretty low, I did the same crossing a few years later in my Toyota Tundra in higher water. I can post that video too if there's any interest in seeing the difference in water levels.

That looks fun and always good to have some support vehicles. , where I live in Australia i'm more likely to drive in the sand. Here's my corolla with the diff lock on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz3JHXYmXuA

That's awesome. I would love to find some sand in my area but it's going to be dirt in the summer and snow in the winter so at least there's that. Maybe I'll find a new river crossing spot, who knows. The one in the video is from another state I don't live in anymore.Mattel wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 10:23 pm That looks fun and always good to have some support vehicles. , where I live in Australia i'm more likely to drive in the sand. That looks like a really nice car. I did not know (or remember) that there was a Corolla 4WD-All-trac.Mattel wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 10:23 pm Here's my corolla with the diff lock on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz3JHXYmXuA
So, how does it compare to your previous T4s?
No other vehicle that I have ever owned had a heart and soul like my 1985 Tercel SR5 4WD Wagon.

Hi Al, (short for ALive) the corolla 4wd (all trac in the USA) is a lot quieter and smoother with more power and similar space and economy. Not as good offroad and doesn't feel as zippy as the Tercel and with an east west engine (16valve twin cam fuel injected) it's harder to work on but has a diff lock for 4wd but usually is AWD with open diffs. I'm very happy with mine. Here's some photos of when I leant it to a popular australian car site.ALiveSR5 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 12:48 pmThat looks like a really nice car.
