With my built 4ac puttin down 106ftlbs of torque in 2wd, weber carbed and delta performance cam on 3.73 gearing I can get upto around 110mph on flats with an average of 14mpg. Guzzles gas and eats cv axles.
Larry's is stupid fast. 20 to 60mph in 3rd gear in a second or two.

1983-84 T4WD has a lower gear ratio which make an easier to curse on higher speed with lower RPM #. Compare 1985-up that has higher gear ratio ( 4.10) I was driving 75 MPH at close to 3,600 RPM , but after driving 3-4 Hrs , i have to add 1 liter of motor oil . BUT it make an easier doing steed grade
Off-Roading .

I was clocked at 101.8 at the Bonneville Salt Flats, fully loaded, windows up..I just could not pass Bonneville without stopping, I was lucky, some great guys were doing practice runs with a Flathead Ford and clocked me..I had about a 2 mile run up..
