Newbie here

Post by Tater89 »

I just wanted to say hello and thank y'all for the add! I've got an 85 4wd auto Tercel and really have been thinking about it a lot here lately. It needs and engine rebuild. And I'd love to put a standard trans in it. Maybe even make the engine a touch stronger. Either way thank y'all!

welcome!

some have converted the trans over, though depending on the condition of the car might be easier to find one with the manual trans. finding a good trans is getting difficult, unless you can buy a whole wrecked parts car somewhere, than you get all the bits and peices you need, it might even get you a good engine too. it is a bolt-up conversion.

good luck.

Well i gave my father inlaw 500 bucks for the car. It has one small spot of rust in it and 2 dents. With 96k on the dash.

Sounds like a great deal. Post some pics.

The conversion is doable but it helps to have a donor car. I've done one.
