Twelve hours is too far in the future for an accurate forecast.

I will try to get there, but my schedule is more unpredictable than Seattle weather.

Weather forecast still looks promising. I have an upright propane BBQ that I can bring. But if someone closer has a more portable grill they can bring I will leave mine at home. I will be bringing brats, buns, toppings and some sodas. If you want anything else bring it with you.

do not be so hard on the weatherman, weather and climat are much too complicated to predect more than a day or two out.

I saw a study on forecasting once that was interesting, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) is pretty good at about 24 hours out (about 90-95 percent accurate), slightly worse at 36 hours (about 80 percent), and no better than random guessing at 48 hours or more. So a forecast more than 2-3 days is almost worthless, yet they always give us 5 day and 10 day forecasts, because that is what we want (even though we know it is not reliable). Humans are funny about such irrational behavior.

I will be printing that day so it is no go for me. I don't have a licensed Tercel right now anyhow. If I wasn't working I would bring the 4runner, at least it is Toyota lol I was looking forward to meeting a few of you.

just come on over when you get off work. we will start at about 3 pm, but likely we will be there for a number of hours. Bring what you have to drive, no T4wd required, just an interest in seeing everyone else's T4wd.

BTW, weather forecast is looking better as the day approaches, chance of rain drops to 1 percent or less after noon on saturday, partly sunny. should be cool fall day, but clear with some sunshine.

If anyone is coming from out of town you are welcome to spend the night in our basement guest room (we actually have lots of room, a large house with six empty beds in 3 different private rooms, all our children are grown and gone). We are about 45 min north east of where the picnic will be. let me know so I can warn my wife we will be having a guest or two.

I am working swing shift that day. There is a small chance I will not have to work. If so, I will show up.

I realized I have some extra parts, does anyone that is coming on Saturday need anything? I have three extra hoods, all different colors. None are perfect, but have those dimples caused when the hood is popped down. I have a bunch of old carbs, some might even be good, perhaps an extra distributor and lots of other stuff. List what you need and I will see if I have any extra.

So, how did it go?! I wasn't able to make it after all, but if anyone took some pictures, please share them!

Maybe we could make this a bi-annual, or quarterly meet up?

we only had three show up unfortunately, but we had a good visit.

We usually have meets ever few years, there are fun pics in the archives of 7 or 8 T4wd driving the mountain loop hwy to scenic vistas. lots of fun.
