I am looking for a trans for my 1984 SR5 in the Tacoma area if anyone can help. Will sell car all together for $600.

Transmissions are probably the most coveted part of these cars. They are becoming hard to find and expensive. I've been quoted prices for transmissions that rivaled the cost of a complete running, driving car. Sounds like your problem might be simple and fixable though.
