Hey, do all of the glovebox handles have that freaky lean to them? I thought it was just mine!

They all do that because the spring puts bending load on the plastic which warps over time. Good news is the 87-90 Tercel glovebox handles fit, and they don't warp nearly as much.

I was going to do a POLL on that very important question. I tried to straighten mine and broke it...took it apart and glued it with plastic cement...still looks the same.

my 85 tercel SR5 4WD with powered sunroof. Purchased at auction for $500 with 187K miles, currently has 229K miles. Original body, original motor, original interior (except steering wheel/radio). :)

Nice 85 SR5! You are lucky you have the weighted-down with options one. So, are you going to be ready for seven threes? :D Since my dad wants to keep driving his 83 SR5, then this is a good excuse to buy a second Tercel 4WD, just for me. I wouldn't like sharing and I already want a second Tercel 4WD- it has to be either a 85 or 86 SR5. Which one is better? Very hard descision, but it's really easy answer- it's the one that is available first

Quick question.

What were all of the options on the sr5 as opposed to the standard? I know intermittent wipers was one, but what else?

I will put some picks of my baby up soon.

Here are pics of the 86 beast, mostly pics of when I first got it, last few after engine swap, cleaning, and stuff. Once again, 4ac powered, auto, $325 shell, $378 reman long block (shipped), a/c, p/s, now has 79,000 miles, almost ready to hit the paint booth.

That is just like my car, a white SR5 with the sunroof. Yours has the nice factory mudguards, but mine has rust. Mine is an 86. 85 and 86 are basically the same, no changes that I know of, and I have owned both. The sunroof, air conditioning, alloy wheels, cruise control and various stereo options were optional on the SR5. In 83 the rear wiper and defroster were optional, but I think they were standard by 85.

Here's my dad's 83, sorry but all you can see is blurry because I took it from the second story and this was with the very crappy webcam I have so this is it from what you can tell.

For some weird reason when you click an error comes up, but when it gives you the error then highlight the address and push enter on your keyboard. That should work if not then I'll see if I can fix that.
