I'm thinking about doing a run of attractive looking stickers we can put on our back windows that have 'www.tercel4wd.com' on them. This will help increase awareness of our website and community. Anyone interested? Send me some design ideas if you want. I can then get a price on them. I have a friend who works at a company that does this sort of stuff. He'll be able to give us a good price.

I would love to have one, as long as they are tasteful. I would probably go with a simple blockish-letter type style, and of a decent size. I say this due to the fact that in my many miles of driving around, I always see these crazy fonted decals on windows, and, although they may look neat, you can't read them easilly enough for them to serve their purpose. Or they are wayyyyy too small. Just my input.

Oh, and I'd say just 'Tercel4wd.com', anyone with a computer (i.e. people who would check out the site) don't need to see the http://www..

This is still in the works guys. It is progressing; just slowly.

I've sent a jpg with a couple ideas to the place that does the stickers, they are going to clean it up a bit and add some color. I'll post what I get back as well as their quote for you all to give your input. We can then change the design as necessary until everyone is happy. A friend of mine works at the place that makes the stickers, so he'll give us a pretty good deal.

OK guys, here are some sticker ideas for you to think about. Before you start hacking them

, let me explain:

- There are four different samples here in the same jpg for you to look at.
- These are just rough ideas to help us figure out exactley what we want.
- The '.com' on the end is currently the wrong font, but will be updated soon, just pretend its right for now.
- I'm designing these to not be a big rectangular sticker, but rather just the individual letters cut out as stickers (you apply them from one piece of backing though).
- These are not to scale, size will probably be around 10-14" long.
- The grey color that you see in the pic below can actually be a silver metallic on the actual stickers. The printing shop would use silver metallic as the main sticker material, and then print any other colors we want on top. (Note, we can do anything as the background material: plain white, red metallic, whatever).
- Cost depends on what background material we use (fancier = more expensive), how many colors we have printed, size, and number that we have made. I think it will end up being between $3-$10 CAD each. Probably closest to the $5 range.
- Ok, now you can hack the designs and make suggestions.

Personally, my favorite is the second from last. I think it would look hot with the grey as a silver metalic, and the 4wd as a bright red. This will make the sticker not too flashy, but still look decent and stand out well.

top one=no
next one = no, the silver on white makes the letters run together
2nd from bottom = yup
last one = looks good but like 2nd from bottom better

the 4WD should stay the way it is....thats how it is on our cars...looks good
10"-14" long.....hmmmmmm thats not very long. somebody be tryin to read it and rear end you....i woulndt go less than 14 long...maybe 20 or meassure the top of rear window and make it like 6 inches shorter than that...so we have a border of 3 in. on each side...but no matter how long it is you dont want the letters s t r e t c h e d so it looks retarded....i just think 10 inches is way to short...hey what you can do is once the final design is picked, print it out on a color printer and tape it to the top back window and see how far you get before you cant read it. now take that distance and pretend you and the car are going 70 miles an hour and the moron driving your car slams on brakes because there is a turtle in the road. could you stop without a collision....?

just checked other cars web sites and they are much longer than 14" long.

had another suggestion...maybe...can you make a tint window sticker for the side windows? like tercel4wd.com

i was planning on dark tinting those windows anyway.......vwvortex.com has em.
actually having it on the side and the back may be a little much.

I like em all, but actually prefer the second one from top, but reversed grey(silver)/white. So, tercel and .com would be white, and all surrounded by silver. But i do also like the 4th one down, if it could have a thin black border around it. The 1st is ok, and the 3rd is fine, but that is just my input on design.

I do agree that they should be bigger, especially if you are planning on a cut-out letter design. I think 14" would be ok, but only if left as a full sticker. That way you could more easilly read it with the surrounding black rectangle. Plus, if kept to a smaller sticker, we do have to take into effect that most people who are going to see our cars and care, will know what it is, be able to figure out the website (pretty self explanatory), and most others who see it could give a crap less, and wouldn't go to the site anyway.

So if it comes down to cost, keep it as a full sticker, and leave it 14". If it comes to just pride, go full on and get a big honker to cover the top of our windows with letters trimmed in!
