Rear dome lens part number

Post by Yaut »

I finally found the correct part number for the rear dome light lens for the wagons. They were also used on 93-98 JZA80 Supras.

Thank goodness, Toyota used the same part(s) on several models for several years.

I found it strange how they referred to the dome lights as "room lamps":

Lens, Room Lamp, NO.2, 81251-14030
No other vehicle that I have ever owned had a heart and soul like my 1985 Tercel SR5 4WD Wagon. :D

the front or main one most often goes bad. if you leave it on, or the door open for example, it gets damaged by the tiny bulb from too much heat.

The front one too is common to other models, but I found a good one in a picknpull, and than switched to an LED array. Gives more light, and will not warm up and damaged the plastic lens. I have been thinking of upgrading my rear lamp to LED to get the extra illumination, but I have not had the rear one ever get damaged from the bulb. but I do have a spare one of those as well.
