little information on it, not even a year (looks like'83-84 DLX). no miles, does not even say what is wrong with it. what good is it for parts if you do not even know what it comes with? seems body is decent enough, and could be put back on the road, might be worth saving. But I would want to know what we get for that price.

I often wonder what people are thinking when they throw stuff up for sale like that without any thought about what a potential buyer might want to know. likely it will go to the crusher unless someone who knows about these cars is close enough to go take a look, and ask the right questions.

I completely agree...I see a lot of listings without miles and other pertinent information. I wonder why they omit that info...it's not like it's going to hurt the sale price on a $500 car. On this listing they did select the 'obo' option...I wonder how cheap someone could get it?

Just looked at the plate...it totally needs a swap!

I just sent him a message and he replied really quick. He said "It smokes. Just had a 1000 dollar crank shaft put in. Didn't fix it. It does run. Yes 5 speed." No reply on the miles...I'll ask again.

Second reply, "Blue smoke. Never stops. Tranny is good interior is dirty but in good condition. I m not a hundred percent but around 200,000 miles."

I wonder what idiot thought changing a crank shaft would stop it from smoking? $1000? you could have rebuilt the engine for that much. sounds like he got taken advantage of, or was victim of an incompetent mechanic.

Lets see: smoke means oil is getting into the combustion chamber, through bad rings, bad pistons, leaky valve seals. lets try and replace the crank and see if that helps.

so at least in needs new valve stem seals, at most, new pistons and rings (and perhaps an over bore of the cylinders).

sounds like it might be worth saving, but I can not go get a project like that. No time for it, and too far for me.
