WTB White Wagon 4wd Manual

This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

Been awhile but if you are still looking and have a Facebook search the marketplace for Portland metro. There is a white 1986 SR5 with a little higher miles than you wanted 219k for 1200 bucks. Text of the ad below.

"Really cool AWD S5 Tercel. I don't want to sell this car, I bought it as a project and haven't had time to look into it and I don't have the room to store it anymore. It starts and runs, drives great except if you let it idle down below about 2000 rpms it dies. Not sure what exactly it could be. Clean title, just needs some love. "

Don't worry about how many miles its more important that it has been looked after and well maintained. Sounds like a simple vacum tube or carb rebuild would fix this one.

if it runs good above 2000 rpms, likely it only needs some minor fix.

sounds like either a vacuum leak, or carb out of adjustment. possible weak coil. either way, those are easy and inexpensive fixes.

Diagnose the problem first, before you try and fix it, and you will usually find the fix is easy.
