Interesting that the earlier FWD wagons got a full size spare, my 87 FWD has a donut.

Bought a one owner, all original '84 FWD in 1994 (it was my first Terc wagon.) It had the doughnut spare. I'm sure this car's had the original spare swapped out for a full size one (much like the front seats-check out the Toyota logo on the headrest in pic #13- it didn't exist in 1986.) Car may actually HAVE a power seat...
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

88 SR5 White (the 'good' one)-not anymore-totaled

We're talking about the FWD Wagons, not the 4WD wagons!

it save weight and costs on their entry level cars. Weight savings across the fleet raises the Corparte Average Fuel Economy. Thanks to idiotic government regs, many people would buy full size spares for their new cars.

I had to use them twice in 40 years of driving, once it fell apart on the hwy. the space save spare is a POS, not worth having as a spare at all.
