Cheap tercel

This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.

Odd combo, looks like a DLX with a sunroof, and looks like the sticker on the valve cover says 4A, anyone contacted the seller for details yet?

I spoke to the owner of this car today he owns a small tow company. He got this car at an estate sale kind of deal along with two others and a few VW's And I quote "I can only get a couple hundred in scrap value" :o
As soon as I can get the tranny replaced in my Tahoe i'll be heading his way to grab one or two of these t4's I can't bare to see them crushed even if only for their tranny's!
Apparently not all have title's so parts parts parts

I agree with you as far as modern VW's, but I am an aircooled bus guy (79 and earlier). I have a 78 Westfalia camper that i have done a lot of road trips in and export quite a few of them to Europe. Super easy to work on for the most part. Always looking for a good deal.

if the cars are worth rebuilding, no reason to part them out. You can get replacement titles for them, there are extra fees involved, and a few hoops to jump through, but well worth it if the car is worth saving.
