This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

I could make a trip out of a good Tercel for that price, I need to go visit my parents within the next month or so. What does it need, is it road worthy the way it is? Can I fix it at your place If I fly into Reno to get it?

Here is a link to some photos

The car is alright couple big dents drivers bolster is worn but not torn seats alright. back hatch does not stay up needs tires and I didn't drive it so I can't speak for how it drives or shifts.
The car starts right up and jumps straight to 3000 rpm then almost dies then jumps again back up to 3000.
Current owner has replaced TVSV with a new one and a remanufactured carb from some econo shop back east. He asked me if he could pay me to repair it because he likes it so much.

I have to be honest I'M STRAPPED FOR MONEY so I told him I would try to fix the car.
Could be I can't fix it and it will still be for sale "not likely I can't fix it"

IN OTHER NEWS
I have been trying to get my hands on what I have been told is a pristine original owner T4 for two years now and i'm broke. I think he is ready to sell, I don't have many details on the car other than he is the meticulous type that has owned the car from day one. Planning on going to see the car this week and seeing what he wants price wise.

looks like it could be a money maker if there is nothing wrong with the drive train (trans/clutch, etc). I think the drivablity issue is the carb or vac system, should be a relatively easy fix once you find the problem (which can take longer than actually fixing it).

I might be interested in getting on my next trip down south in Jan, if no one else wants to get it.

Last year when I posted this car I ended up tuning it up for the owner and he decided to keep it.

He called me today and he is moving out of the country so it's back up for sale @1,100 (actually grand the extra 100 we will call a broker fee)

IT'S A GOOD STRONG RUNNER :oldgeek:

The car is in Reno

Ooh i was in the market for an fx16 acouple months ago. Closest ones were running projects for like 2k+. Opted out of that venture and bit the bullet on spending more for gas in my truck while i waited for something decent to pop up
