I have added Adsense (google advertisements) to the forums.

As you can most likely see, along the top of the site (well below the top nav bar, but middle kind of) is Google Adsense. It's there to make a little $$ for the site. If I can make 5 $ a month off this site, it'll more then pay for itself. If they ads get annoying, let me know. Report any random/weird ads in this thread.

All the ads should be relevant to the site.

Totally fine with that personally, I didn't even noticed the Ad's were there until I opened this thread.

That's good to hear, you should click on them every once in a while.

4 clicks on the ads so far, 22 cents. So that's a good running price so far.

FINE with me - unobtrusive so far - maybe no prancing ponies or German rappers, though...
So - if we just click on them, that's revenue?

Yes, but me saying just to click them would violate google's terms of service and a few other agreements. So, click on ads you are truely interested in. That way the advertisers are getting their money worth. It's not cool to let someone pay money for empty clicks.

Just FYI, if the clicks keep going they way they are (i've made 3 dollars off of it since I put it up a few hours ago), my revenue would be 300+ a month off this site, I doubt it'll stay this steady though.

BUT, if i can pull in 100+ a month off the ads, I will buy everyone window stickers.

It's called Google Adsense. The way it works is publishers (people who own a website, put stuff on the internet, etc) use Google Adsense to display advertisements on their website(s). There are two ways to generate revenue from these ads, Impressions and clicks. Clicks are worth a LOT more.

Google Adwords is what the advertisers use to put out their advertisements onto publishers websites.

I am enrolled in Adsense. I've already made 10 dollars since last night. It's mostly to support the cost of the forums, and any merchandise I want to sent out to the members i choose, also for advertisement elsewhere
