Another Source For Tools & Shtuff

Post by ARCHINSTL »

I happened on this company through a bicycle wrenchin' site, no less (!).
I'd never heard of it before, but boy, they have SHTUFF ! All sorts of tools, fasteners, and all kinds of tool-related items.
Fascinating! Kind of like Grainger, I guess.

That is a very good reference site for research about what's available. I've ordered some stuff, but prices can be higher than the local hardware store....but they have hard to find things.

I recently found this site, http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/ , and they seem pretty good. I have only ordered once, but I got my stuff in about two days.

I have used them once as well. Good prices on some stuff, not so good on others. Good service though.

With the economy killing off many shops, craigslist and ebay have been a constantly replenishing goldmine as of late for automotive tools. More people than ever getting out than in. I've spent only 5K on about 25K worth of gear this year so far. Local auctions too....
