Re: clutch problems
Im going to tell you right now, it either involves dropping the trans, or pulling the motor. Everyone around here wanted at least $400 just to swap transmissions... I dropped it myself, saved $200 so far. Doing the clutch when I get paid. Than gonna put it all back in myself. After I have a shop reb...

Re: Dropping the trans...pointers?
Its out! awaiting a pressure wash.
Apparently the drivers side front axle had a bad seal...gear oil everywhere.
For the driveshaft we simply unbolted the center bearing and that allowed the yoke to slide out of the trans.
Getting it all back together is gonna be fun.

I have a friend that has one with a corvair engine in it. Ill take my wagon over it any day. I dont have the time, materials, or money to make a dune buggy. And if i ever want a ride, I just have to call my friend. I dont even have the space to keep it. Keeping it in a garage when not in use or when...

Dropping the trans...pointers?
Hey guys. Im getting ready to drop the trans and take it to a shop to have it fixed.
Anything special about getting it out? I did a search and someone said you have to remove the input shaft to get the trans out? That doesnt sound right...

Re: Thinking ahead for summer...
ohcanada_00 I really like that. I think it looks better than just taking the door off too. If I can find another tercel wagon in one of the junkyards around here (Ive got 2 more large ones to check) Ill definitely go that route. The quick release pin would just be easier in my opinion. I mean...5 mi...
