Re: Leaky front end
I did just previously. I made the mistake of driving the seal in as far as it could go and that was the wrong answer. I couldn't give you an exact distance per say, but the seal only sits in a certain amount.

Never in my days have I seen someone pull a motor and disconnect everything like that. Around here, people pull motors with knives and hack saws. What a gentleman.

Re: Air ride suspension?
I had to seach far and wide because I couldn't remeber. I got it out of an 80's model corolla. It is a bosch al219x. Have to trim the alternator for it to fit, but we'll worth it. They rub when tucked, but I THINK it's only on the fender liner. I have never ran the car without fender liners to be ce...

Re: Undecided.
Turns out there's something called spark knock, which I didn't know. Rebuilt the whole damn motor only to start it and have it knock again. Magically went away with a quick nudge of the distributor. Hahaha. Correct, the plan was to not have the tire rub when aired fully out, but they do in the front...

Re: Undecided.
I'm waiting to break in my truck. I rebuilt the motor for no reason and have to figure all this out now. Haha. I think I do but can't remember which threads, I'll post an edit when I find them and I just seen them, they look pretty damn sweet! They are indeed 15x7 +38 rotas. I believe the tire size ...

Undecided.
So here's a question I never really wanted to ask. How much is my car worth, or how much can I sell it for? I think it's time for me to retire out of my short lived tercel lifestyle and get something a bit more modern and of course faster. I am in the process of rebuilding the engine in my truck and...

Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?
I just ran the PCV line to the can because it was there. Originally was running to the carb where all the oil was going even after many pcv valve changes. I also did have a breather there on that capped off port, all the oil vapor was flying through it and getting everywhere on the valve cover. Not ...

Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?
I was busy the last few days and forgot to take a pic. I need to read the thread all over again and see what could've happened. It totally skipped my mind that I had a similar situation awhile back. I don't remember where I posted it here, but one of the wrist pins that hold the piston on the connec...

Re: Fresh Weber and head replacement - oil weaping from exhaust?
How does it look under the air filter? I had the breather line setup like that and I had some pretty decent blow by that was throwing oil into the carb. I have an oil catch can setup now though so I don't have to worry about that.

Right back side, could be the distributor o-ring. Simple fix.

I think the nut on the front of the pulley has to be loosened before you relieve the tension. Don't quote me on that.

Re: the mother load
I do need a rear wiper arm (or advice on how to fix mine - not enough tension to stay flush to the window). I have the same issue. I was thinking about just bending the arm. Anyone have a better idea? Haven't looked at one in awhile but I think there is a spring in there. Could it just be replaced?
