Re: We're laid back here in Canada?
Now Arch! Watch your blood pressure. Personally...I think the US has been off the rails since 9/11....probably will never get sane again...and I don't have time to wait for it either. We'll find out this fall if Americans still have a modicum of sanity left...and even then the choices are spar...

Takza would it be OK if a moderator moved your pic to "ridiculous member head shots"? BTW I live on nothing but Arby's curly fries - 20 orders per diem. Think about it? http://www.naturalnews.com/034833_acrylamide_French_fries_fried_foods.html Baking, roasting or frying any starchy food a...

Re: Thermostat Recommendations
I've been thinking about replacing the thermostat - it is 3 1/2 years old. The heat has become less hot, despite what the the guage shows. The one in it is a genuine Toy stat, then $18 (Butler now $16-local STL now $20+). I've been thinking about a Fail-Safe brand, about $14 at AZ, or a Beck-Arnley...

We're laid back here in Canada?
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article30390.htm What happened to Canada? It used to be the country we would flee to if life in the United States became unpalatable. No nuclear weapons. No huge military-industrial complex. Universal health care. Funding for the arts. A good record on the en...

Go see them while you can? http://www.care2.com/causes/are-the-worlds-big-trees-doomed.html "The existence of some of the “largest organisms that have ever lived” – 3,000-year-old sequoias, the 2,000-year-old giant redwoods, big trees around the world in Amazonia, Africa and central America — i...

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/mrsa-superbugs-in-u-s-retail-meat.html MRSA, methicillin resistant Staph aureus, now kills more Americans every year than AIDS, and it’s invaded our meat supply. Last week, the largest survey of U.S. retail meat was published and found the highest level of contaminat...

As far as the C-Dory...that was the boat I wanted...that or a sail boat. You can travel the coastal canals from the Rio Grande in Texas to New York...then there is the NW and California. Big dreams.....

Re: About to die? Heal yourself....
I'm in the process at least of convincing myself to seek out further knowledge rather than talk and argue about stuff too much....i.e....politics as an example. It's real easy to tell other people what to do and so forth...a lot harder to make actual and substantive changes in one's own life. Real c...

Weeeeeeell......the idea with the slowburn is that only certain types of exercises give you an increase in growth hormones. You'd have to read the book to understand what I'm talking about. Book can be found used for next to nothing...and all it takes are some hand and ankle weights to do them. http...

Good moves! I'd like to do the same and would if I had the option. But be very careful of the zombie types that are still eating tortured and stressed....antibiotic...GMO....and arsenic fed chickens...they have RED eyes. http://www.nonags.org/members/nijqk/zombie-chicken.jpg When I was just ...

Re: PNW "Snowpocelips" of Jan 2012! (lots of pics)
I used the image loading tool for the first time, I thought they were loaded as "public", is there a way to change that?. When I click on them they enlarge just fine, but I was the one that loaded them. I did not find the image loader any faster than using photobucket, so I do not think i...
