Low miles, but with that rust around the wheel well and on the hatch, it'd be nice to see pictures of the rockers and the frame. You'd think a GA car wouldn't have that much rot on it !!

I replaced the green bulbs in my speedo cluster with orange ones, and took the green covers off the bulbs on the heater/fan/ac controls in the center of the dash. I like the look a LOT better than the factory stock look.

My family did the PBJ with a twist...adding banana, or sometimes just PB and banana. I'm always shocked at the number of people who have never tried PB and banana together. My grandfather would take a banana, slice it in half long ways, spread PB on it and take in his lunch when he worked for the ol...

It's nothing major, but I always grab trim clips and the covers that go over the access to the rear lights.....seems like those things are always breaking or getting lost. SR5 seats are SO MUCH better than the dlx. seats...I'd get those out if they're in decent shape. I just bought a set at my pull-...

Depends on several factors......overall condition and mechanical condition being most important. My son bought our first one , and '85 SR5 6spd with 123K for $625.....was dirty, paint job not good on half the car, some minor rust along the rear rockers. I bought the second one, an '86 Dlx with a blo...

Hey, welcome to the board ! Did you buy the car on AutoTrader that had the Weber installed in it ?? If it's the same car, they were going to remove the Weber, unless the buyer wanted to pay extra. It sounded like a nice car. I've always wanted a white one.

TONS of useful stuff for us cycling enthusiast. i esp. like the real MAN saddles.....since i tend to prefer padded shorts to padded saddles. i once had a customer (male) who asked if we stocked saddles that he ...

IMHO, the good folks who are laying their lives on the line every day to protect us from terrorism don't have anything to do with a 2-bit police officer in small-town USA who's on a power trip. Most of the folks involved in the efforts in the middle East don't give a damn about the politics, for the...

Crap like that really pisses me off. The world seems to be full of incompetent people who just don't give a rat's a** anymore. I have recently been having issues with the Apple store here in Nashville. My son's iPod , which we gave him for Christmas last year, completely stopped working. It hasn't b...

I think under normal use with proper maintenance they're OK....although my current daily driver went out at 171K, that's when i bought the car from the original owner for $250. Like Petros said, a $50 tranny from Pull-a-part, and it was up and running again. A word of warning, though, ALWAYS replace...

I did it !! Tranny pull !

There's been an '84 at Pull-A-Part since August, and I've taken several parts off it since it's been there. Yesterday I went in and did a solo pull on the transmission. A friend had helped me pull a couple other ones in the past, but this was the first time I'd attempted anything like this without s...

Tercel sighting

Yesterday, I saw a light cream-colored Tercel driving through the parking lot here behind the bike store, so I walked around the corner to take a closer look at it. The guy driving it seemed a bit taken aback by a stranger coming up to him asking about his car. It is an '85 model, automatic Dlx. 4wd...

Thank God you're ok, Typ !! I really hate it for you that it happened, but I'm a believer that we all learn valueable lessons from life's experiences, as long as we're alive afterwards. There are more Tercels, but like bigbread said, life isn't replaceable. I'm sure everyone here is like me, if ther...

Bummer

My car was broken into while I was at work today. At first I didn't think anything was missing, then after a few minutes, I realized my wallet and a Tag Heuer watch that I got in Hong Kong for my 10th wedding anniversary was gone, along with a handful of quarters. Why can't people just leave other p...
