There is typically a little rubber puck that lands on top of the piece you’re looking for. I’ve got a parts carb at home (in CO for the Meet & Greet currently). These carbs/parts should be around, it seems nearly 1/2 of the Tercel peeps swap a Weber on.

Almost anything you purchase will work 3A or 4A, excluding pistons, rings, etc. The exterior of the block is the same. Tersailor, I’m just a shade tree, hillbilly mechanic, but I think there is a spec for ring gap when you slide the pistons back in. For the life of me, I can’t remember how you would measure it? I would hone the cylinder walls and check cylinder dia. and possibly ring gap on the pistons. If it falls ...

No paper gasket there. There is usually the remnants of a thin metal gasket though.

Hey David,

There is an axle seal in the ends of the axle housing (both sides). Easy to swap out once the axles are pulled. I just did mine and I have a tiny leak on the driver’s side. If it continues, I’ll pull the axle and tap the seal a little further in the housing.

I’ve replaced a few bearings, but I wouldn’t change them unless there was some play when you pull them out and feel them by hand.
