It goes into 4WD and back again. The more accidentally you engage the FWD-4WD lever, the more easily it switches...lol
But yeah, I have driven it in both modes and there don't seem to be any issues.

Re: 85 Tercel 4WD, 5 speed manual, white, $1200 OBO
It has a rear output shaft. Maybe the 6th speed is supposed to be extra low gear (while I never tested for proper operation). I'm not really familiar with the idea of the extra low thing except for how to engage it.

Energy Suspension Parts is a distributor, not Energy Suspension. They include Whiteline and Prowhatever in their supplies as well.

Jegs fuel hose adapters and fittings catalog
Jegs has redesigned their site. I don't remember what size fittings are on the carb, etc. People might also need different fittings for things like FPRs, electric fuel pumps, and different fuel filters for their fuel pumps. Jegs is a pretty handy site and their customer service is pretty good, plus ...

Re: noisy power steering pump.
It's probably fine. We ran the Impala's fluid pretty low for weeks before adding fluid, twice, and it was ok. I'm sure a Toyota-engineered pump will forgive your abuse well enough.

Parked the white one in front of Zach's house. Think I blew the radiator fan fuse.

Re: Tercel 4WD vs Civic 4WD :: A side view comparison.
A lot of people buy a new car every year or two, or only lease them. I don't really get it, but it seems surprisingly common for upper-middle class.

Re: Zach's 1985 4WD Tercel Wagon
Was bashing my face into the Tercel figuring out why the fuel pump relay won't work. Turns out it's only going to be pulling 15A max, not 30A. The relay coil was too big of a load and still wasn't closing the arm. My previous relay, an IDEC RH1B-U, was completely adequate, but lacks weather resistan...

Re: slightly high/low idle once warm
If the O2 sensor doesn't fix it, then you're probably either looking at the ECM itself having a fault, wiring damage, or the O2 sensor is from the wrong brand or something.

Re: slightly high/low idle once warm
You would need to plug in an OBD1 scanner. OBD2 systems have many parameters that can be pulled up and examined by a scanner. I have never scanned an OBD1 car, let alone an OBD1 Japanese car, so I don't know if you can pull anything from them except codes. Google has not been helpful for this. OBD2 ...
