I'll tell you if you tell me how to find the place that allows current that's supposed to be going to the dome lights to go to my licesnse plate lights. Both light up. I'd look for a bad ground. the fuse blows out when i use the turn signal . i have pulled all the lights and they look ok i switched out the whole blinker/lights/wiper switch with a spare used one. that did not fix it. testing the fuse box shows continuity to ground on the aft end. the fwd end registers a little (1/4 as much) ...

check the linkage for the 4wd shifter
may be wayout of adjustment to cause it to hit
maybe something is bent

Head gasket, intake/exhaust gasket, timing, new vacuum lines, put a gasket underneath the carb because I had a bad vacuum leak down there, new carburator ( sort of, I bought a different carb and used parts from that one and the original to put together one that supposedly works). check the fuel sole...

Hey first thing to say is great site!!! I have a problem with my '84 Tercel is an AL25 3a/c, its was running fine when I had the hood up but then hood dropped and the car stalled, there still seems to be a good kick from the distributor. Yeah, I broke it, wondering what it's called.....it's the part that the thermostat fits into, so I can call parts places and know what to ask for.... the part the thermostat fits into is the aluminum "go between" the block and waterpump. the part that fits over the thermostat is alum also...

if its not steel (magnetic) its not part of the engine block.
