Re: gas tank overflowing/car stinks of gas
thanks petros, i searched the forum and found someone talking about the charcoal filter but didn't think it applied to mine since the leak was only at the back and there were no visible leaks under the hood. i did hear a new sound, sort of a whine, when i popped the hood though so maybe that's comin...

thanks man, i appreciate it! i have a few more questions for you now though. where is the vacuum advance? i've seen it mentioned on this forum a few times but i'm pretty new to messing around with engines so if you could even just describe what it looks like to me that would be perfect. i think my t...

hey guys, i've found my terc has been losing power when i gear down and come through a corner - in detail: i will brake before the corner, gear down to 2nd or 3rd, let the clutch out, and give it some gas as i come through the corner, but it's as if i'm not giving it any gas at all. since it's in ge...

Re: help diagnosing a few clunks & shudders...
Hey guys, thanks so much for your advice! I appreciate it in a big way and will talk to my mechanic buddy about all your suggestions. I'm learning bit by bit as we work on it, I have only a little mechanical experience so far so it's a big learning curve but I hope to be able to diagnose problems an...

help diagnosing a few clunks & shudders...
Hey gang. So I recently bought an '86 SR5 that is, for the most part, in great condition. There are a few sounds it makes that I'd like to diagnose and fix though, nothing serious at this point, but I really want to make this car mint so it lasts me and is reliable. So here are the sounds neither I ...
