Re: Might have gone insane, will report back.

I'm afraid this is yet another example of parts scarcity for the SR5.
Maybe I'll pull one off and try and get close to size/diameter. FML!

Re: Might have gone insane, will report back.

At this point I'm just trying to source ANY sway bar end bushings. Seems I can get the frame bushings all day, but no parts stores seem carry what I need.
Can someone lead me to water?

Re: Might have gone insane, will report back.

Just had a look, passenger side sway bar bushing looks considerably off center, wiggles a little too much - this should account for a tendancy to wander across my lane at speed and needing to drive woth both hands on the wheel. She's not safely drivable till I can get her front end tightened up a li...

Might have gone insane, will report back.

Quit smoking again, took the terc out on a ricer road, hit the curves pretty hard, on an aggression scale of 1 to 10 I did an 8.9, pretended a pack of samurai monkeys were coming after me to steal my marbles, just as I took a right hand curve at roughly 45MPH/3800RPM in 3rd gear I heard a noise that...

Check out what I got to play with

Got to work on an interesting piece of equipment this week, a 1940's clark plane loader. There isn't much information about this thing, all I know is that they used to load military planes and such with these - probably like bombs and such, during world war 2, it got some kind of award for exelence ...

Re: In Dash Voltmeter Perfect Fit

It reads proper until there is load, headlights, brakelights, heater blower all drag it down.
This is the story my Etek multimeter tells me tapped directly to the battery.

Re: In Dash Voltmeter Perfect Fit

Put that 2$ volt meter in the corolla FX as I'm going to do all mechanical gauge cluster on door panel with the T4WD, wired it to the 'seat heater' circut on the fuse block as the car don't have seat heaters, and the ignition heats up this terminal. But I've noticed something weird, when all lights/...

I knew you'd have liked that blazer.
It was all mechanical 4WD, aside from some body imperfections and TBI it was a killer crawler!

Re: I think I pushed it too hard.....

The likelihood I would need it for rolling dry grasslands are as good as actually needing to drive my motorhome for a zombie apocalypse.
Reading about visual inspection by smog attendants just says stuff about having the super expensive california approved cat, not necessarily the heat shroud.

Re: Gauge instalations!

No sunroof, I had thought of that, but potential of having to work with the A pillar routing stopped that idea in its tracks, I'll look under the plastic cover again, maybe I was too rash in deciding against that - I do like the headliner idea pretty ok, but my left knee never really exists in that ...
