take the top off the air breather and have a look down in the carb while giving gas cable a couple of pumps to see if there is a stream of fuel going in, do this with the motor not running, the little pump on the carb may be bad

my manual says to fill it from the right side, but I have always used the left side plug

I was trying to remember and I think it is like the rav4 handle, you only have to take the 2 bolts out, front one on the drivers side and back one on the passenger side. if you were going to drill them out start with a 3/16 drill down through the head of the bolt then go to 3/8 drill after drilling ...

used a garden hose hooked to my shop hot water heater, just put a piece of 3/4 copper pipe in the hose to the heater return and connected a another piece of hose to it to put in a bucket, had a garden hose adapter to put in the heater core inlet hose and screwed it on to the garden hose, they were c...

just a update, put new foam on both top and bottom doors in heater box yesterday, when I started this the heat coming out of the vent above the heater controls was at about 95 degrees, putting new foam and adjusting the doors and new foam around the heat pipes and white box brought it up to about 12...

check your sway bar bushings where they go through the lower control arm, wore out big time torque steer

from my experience I can have the motor out in under 3 hrs, leavening the front end alone. I did one at home in my drive way the car was not towable, had my engine lift cart on my trailer backed up to it lifted it out and drove away, cart and motor hooked together, take rad out,unplug alt, 2 gas lin...

it is easer to pull the motor to put a clutch in. having done this many times doing motor swaps,

like I said that handle is from a rav4 I could not find the tercel handle it may have 2 tabs

here are a couple pics , this handle is out of a rav4 but it is the same set up, looks like it would bolt right in to tercel.the little tab is at the bottom keeping the treaded part from going through.

nasty little tabs just looked in my basement stock pile for a handle but it is out in shop pile, but I did find another set of 87 head lights I for got I had, its been over 15 years they been packed away, think I am becoming a horder

where the cable has to go through it is a round groove, then there are little tabs bent over to keep the cable in the groove. that was the problem I had the threaded rod would hit them and not go around the bend. I have a old handle out will post a pic of it tomorrow for you
