Re: Alloy rims and tires, Albuquerque, $100
I always forget about shipping on greyhound. At least for heavy boxes, Fedex seemed to be cheaper than greyhound if you have an account. I'll check into it in a bit if I don't get any interest locally.

Alloy rims and tires, Albuquerque, $100
I'm getting rid of these after beefing up just a skosh to 14" rims. Pretty good tread all around. I just swapped them in my driveway and the sun had set. Let me know if you want some photos with more illumination! https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2769/33051459281_f293efe4a8_b.jpg https://c1.static...

Re: How to lift your Tercel 4wd
I hope the bearing isn't crooked because I paid a subaru shop wayyy to much to put it on!
Once I forced the rear sway bar back on, the shuddering definitely died down a bit. Still a lil' something, but not bone shaking. We'll see once I get the front done what the situation is.

Re: At long last! My first tercel
The bushings seem OK for an 84. Maybe removing the sway bar made this problem come to light? I'm not against the sway bar, though I tried to put it back on and could quite get the clips to get back onto the axle housing. I'll give it another go. The u-joint is definitely at a different angle. What p...

Re: How to lift your Tercel 4wd
Got the rear part of the lift done today. I also replaced a noisy rear wheel bearing while I was at it. Weird thing though is that there is now a terrible shuddering at low-speed that replaced the noisy bearing. Any ideas as to what could be causing that?

Re: At long last! My first tercel
So I just replaced a rear wheel bearing and replaced the springs/shocks with pathfinder and thunderbird parts. Deleted the sway bar. The awful noise from the bad bearing is gone, but there is now an even more terrible shuddering at low speeds ~ 15 mph. It goes away around 20. Would anyone have a clu...

Re: Proper method to swap out transmission and diff fluids
Is it OK or even possible to fill from one of the driver side fill plugs? I mistakenly didn't check the forum out before draining the fluid and my passenger side bolt is seized/rounded. I want to take it to a shop to see if they have better ways of getting that out, and it would be possible to push ...

The short post makes it sound not too shabby! Contemplating picking this up for myself, but I really shouldn't at this point. I'd be happy to check it out for any forum members. It's right down the street.

Re: Successful move cross country
Swapped out the CV and that got rid of the problem! Didn't have too much trouble after I switched the new clip out for the old one. Can or should the carb be adjusted with the idle mixture for its new life at 5,300' (its lived for the past 32 years at or below 700')? I've noticed some struggles goin...

Re: Successful move cross country
Moved to Albuquerque for a job at UNM and curiosity about the SW. I would definitely be keen on meeting up and getting some parts to throw on here and there. I'm pretty surprised there were no issues. I had to toss a decent amount of stuff out to make it in one move! I'm pretty sure the grinding whe...

Successful move cross country
Managed to pack it full and move from NC to NM. 65 mph the whole way, and the only symptom of the trip is a metal-on-metal grinding noise from the front passenger axle!

Re: Engine dies after rough idle when stopping
I'm going with the line straight to the CB. The FSM has a picture that leads me to believe there should be some amount of sensible air flow when you blow on it from either end. Now that it is off, 1.5 problems seem to have been fixed! I can drive away after only a few seconds of warming up (this was...

Re: Engine dies after rough idle when stopping
Found out my plastic jet coming out of the choke breaker was clogged. Also, I found it that it is very brittle. I'm going to just cut some new vac line for now, but is there anywhere to pick up a new one?

Re: Engine dies after rough idle when stopping
Sorta...I used to run a bicycle co op in NC. We refurbished and loaned bikes out for people interested in commuting who couldn't afford a new bike. Not being the greatest capitalists, we struggled for a bit after losing our free shop space, and then it went under when I moved away. Other than that, ...

Re: Engine dies after rough idle when stopping
Well, though I had solved my problem, but perhaps just made new ones. Everything is fine when the engine is warm, now the issue occurs when cold, which was probably happening all along. Looks like I just need to carefully go through the FSM from the start and get everything keyed in. Think I'll leav...
