Re: Hello From Calahoo!

I've done a bit of work on the sunroofs and there is a bit to them. not sure if the non sunroof models have all the mounting points in the roof for the sunroof to bolt to. I would remove the whole roof and reweld in. Robert Walker has a good youtube about the sunroofs.

Totally agree with David.

Keeping the SR5 seats is the best idea (resale as well) and either get some custom or off the shelf covers? you might have to modify them to work with the sr5 bolsters. Good thing about the SR5 seats is they have a lot of adjustment and long base cushion.

Re: after many years, I'm finally back in the T4 game

What an epic adventure David, glad that it and you made it back OK. The seller seemed a bit gruff on facebook. He said things like 'come and buy this or it goes to the tip in two weeks' or something. Glad you got something that looks a little less rusty than what you have. But still a hell of a gamb...

I doubt it unless you weld the seat frame to the Tercel seat track.
Do you have SR5 or DL seats in yours? SR5 seats are pretty comfortable to me. Firm but supportive.

Glad you picked up that car in Tofino David. Is that far away? I realise that Vancouver island is huge with so many ferries etc. Did you get all the parts that came with it?

Sorry to Hijack, Hey David, I saw this ad on FB and thought of you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/tercel4 ... 953014763/ but then I realise that A/Tofino might be a long way from you and not even connected by road and B/I think you mentioned you weren't on Facebook.

Re: 6th Generation Corollas

The All-tracs are great cars. I had a couple of Tercels but went to an all-trac in the end (or Corolla 4wd wagon here in Aus) as they are better for highway driving and more common here in Australia for parts. Heres mine that lent out to a car site for use in some photos. https://www.drive.com.au/re...

Re: 1987 Tercel 4wd project

We also got a remote release for the rear hatch. European Tercels seemed to all have the rear fog lamp in the licence plate holder except UK which had a small foglight on the right hand side of the rear door looking like it was bolted on after a trip to the auto store. I beieve that the original fog...

Re: 1987 Tercel 4wd project

Australia got the best bits I think. All our Tercels were manual 4wd wagons in DL and SR5 trim - we got euro bumpers and front end and AC / PS / sunroof options. we also got SR5 sports seats with the handles and inclometers. However we did not get the economy guage and headlamp washers you guys were...

Re: Proud new owner of a used '97 Tercel DIESEL!

Unique car. Yes, I also believe a non turbo diesel would struggle to have that hp but should also have more torque.

I don't believe this is a JDM car as why would the stearing wheel be on the left? - all JDM cars except rare imports are RHD.

Re: 84 4wd Tercel wagon

Looks amazing. I would get those rust spots sorted. As then you open it up to both 'car people' who know how / where to fix it but also There are a lot of people who just want a cool old vehicle but wouldn't know how much this would cost to fix it. Its so close to perfect I would just finish it.
