I had similar issues and a headgasket replacement seems to have remidied most of them. There is a Felco kit and Petros posted a thorough guide if you are a do-it-yourselfer.

There's an 87 near me but I think they changed the gear ratios. Not sure if it would work in an 82.

Do you know the interior color by chance?

There's an 87 manual at a nearby auto salvage that had cruise but the engine had been pulled. At least I got the dash switch.

There's an 87 close by in NH with that had the black trim when I pulled the interior. If you could offer advice on removal I'd pull it. I know when I got my windshield replaced yesterday they said they couldn't save the clips so they glued it on.
