Re: Intake and Exhaust port dimensions

If you've got some time, could you get the distance between the centers of the exhaust ports? Thanks!

The plan is "on the cheap" EFI and a header.
Thanks for the info!

Intake and Exhaust port dimensions

Could someone get me a quick measurement of the dimensions of the intake and exhaust ports? Head side would be ideal...
Thanks!

Re: Q for the weber peeps

My car acts the same. On mine if you go wide open after a couple cranks it starts right up. Instead of the stock carb separator, go get a carb gasket for a 70's 2.3 litre Pinto. Motorcraft licensed the 32/36 and the gasket is about 1/2" thick. I can put my hand directly on the carb after drivin...

If you're passing through Oregon and it's not May 11-16, I've got 2 couches in Corvallis, OR with your names on them.

Re: 14 inch tire question, again

Just for clarification, the offset of a rim is the distance of the hub face of the rim to the centerline of the rim..
This picture shows it quite well:

Re: Effects of fuel pressure on webers

Yep, no FPR.
What jets are in it? Mine runs fantastic on 50 idle jets and a 145 primary main. I've got a 170 in the secondary main, but it makes it run rich when I open the secondaries.

Re: Effects of fuel pressure on webers

I've been running a 32/36 for about a year now with no issues with fuel overflowing the bowl or being overly rich... It passed the Oregon emissions test back in June, but I also had the idle tuned with a wideband O2 sensor.

Re: clutch problems

A Sachs clutch kit is ~$85 on Rock Auto. IMO pulling the engine is easier than pulling the transmission, but I also have a Weber with one vacuum line and one wire for the choke...Clutch isn't the easiest job, but it's not too bad if you have access to the tools and the book.

Re: Transmission fluid filler bolt rounded off!

Half a quart probably won't hurt anything.. If you know anyone with a welder, have them weld a BIG nut to the filler cap, I've done it a couple times. The heat from the weld helps get the threads a little looser too.
