Re: I think I pushed it too hard.....
I just watched someone loose their drive line on the way home in a ford expedition. Kinda wished I could help them with my T4 but I knew it was too underpowered to push him even a few feet into a parking space. My catalytic converter heat shroud tore off when I was up in oregon, all I can gather is ...

Re: rough shifting from 3rd gear to 4th and reverse
Do we got a link or part number for this clutch cable? After I had the gearbox down last year and found a healthy clutch disk I'm ready to believe to within $30 - $70 thats my problem with Kodama. Also one of these days I'm gonna have to get bold and take its original transmission apart and see if t...

Re: How much torque to install new plugs?
Yea I've never used antiseize on plugs, never had a stuck plug in 50+ cars I pulled plugs from - even old flat heads from rusted old equipment.

Re: The long road to recovery... maybe
I feel your pain bro, When my radiator went south I kept hearing words from posts in this forum about even slight overheating causing the head gasket to pop, I literally started the car just to floor it and get to cruising speed, cut the engine, coast till momentum was lost, wait till pressure drops...

Re: Gearbox Oil Change
I can dig through my tranny in the bucket and find these parts - if yours is damaged somehow I can ship to you, this gearbox was just run low on oil or a bearing went south, so rear internals are probably fine.
Tl;Dr I'd like to help.

Re: Gearbox Oil Change
hmm, when I was disassembling a tranny with a eaten input idler gear I notices many of these such plugs that when they came out have springs keeping ball bearings in place, I believe most were associated with the shift shafts. But there was other stuff that these "plug" things were doing a...

Re: 4afe questions
Its is an 88 year, but it is all 87 parts, its a december NUMMI car, damn headlights are the 9004 and lots of older parts.
It may have a OBD port for a jumper situation as described in the haynes, but I've not looked for the pigtail yet.

Re: seat laundering pics: before and after
Right, I just think that maybe where the seat back hinges against the seat bottom that there may be chafe from a zip tie knot that could damage the seat bottom over time - if, as it were, there was enough reclining action over a long enough time line. This thread makes me happy, I wetted, scrubbed a...

Just a purely hypothetical question.
