Re: Radiator made with Brass vs Aluminum
I didn't imply that I am the first homo sapien to use an aluminum rad in North America. I meant that I will experience hotter conditions with my Al single row rad than just about anybody on the list (minus our Aussie friends perhaps). I can flawlessly drive all day in 100* with the a/c on. Certainly...

You might try these rubber donuts that fit inbetween the strut coils: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Superior-Automotive-Round-base-coil-spring-booster/_/N-25by?itemIdentifier=828156_0_0_ I have a set of 2 and they did raise the car slightly (didn't measure), and they also stiffen the ...

Re: Radiator made with Brass vs Aluminum
Why is a damn Al radiator so evil?? I got my $80 Spectra 813 from RA 3 years ago and it works fabulously even in 100* heat every damn day. The gauge never gets above half. I use green coolent and damn tapwater. Damn damn damn! I am the Litmus test, why won't you guys trust me?

Re: internal oil filter inspection; Fram failed
more pleats means more filter capacity, Not true if the filter diameters are different. How did you determine AC filters are the best? Does a filter's price really matter as a function of it's life cycle per dollar? The most to least expensive filter prices are minimal, of course I'm excluding the ...

Did you post this as a joke? Zero scientific evaluation here. Fram filters fail because they don't fend off .38 slugs?

A funny thing happened on the way to the Van Halen show last night, where I unintentionally learned about sheep herding.... I stopped for the required pre-rockshow sauce at Convenience Turbo about 2 miles from my friend's haus. T4 failed to start. Fearing said sauce was in danger of getting warm I g...

Not sure adapter you were talking about, but I couldn't find one that fits from that company. Here's the adapter I am using: http://www.piercemanifolds.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=99004.250 Fits great but you have to shorten two intake manny bolts (I dremelled mine). At $44 plus shipping ther...

And where might you be? I've got a rear window and a tail light - not sure which side but I can check. There's a yard near me that may have a T2wd with intact asslights. Let me know if interested.Foryst wrote:ive searched every junk yard in my area

Re: 2WD Toyota Trucks...
My good friend in Montana use to say: "4x4 only gets you stuck a 100 feet further in" :) True, 4wd doesn't guarantee you won't get stuck. When I lived in Boston a coworker took a few friends up into New Hampshire for some 'sploring in his 4wd Ranger. They got stuck on a road that normally...

Looks like you got a pretty good deal, it will be lotsa fun. Camping is one thing I regret never doing as a kid. If it didn't involve a/c and a TV my parents wanted nothing to do with it. When I mentioned joining the cub scouts they locked me in the basement for three days.
