Re: Cv axle popping out
I'm sure someone who knows more than me will comment soon but I'm pretty sure that one is trash. I'd be really nervous about the internals too. :( I've put in the Cardone brand and while they worked, the splines were too big so Bob Walker helped me shave them down. I've put in 4 or 5 Trackmotive axl...

Re: If I can manage a suitable repower in the future
Is that a Justy? I just bought an engine stand off a guy with 30 Justys on his compound. Looks like a fun little car. Did you have to swap motors to push those tires?

Re: funny video w/ 84' Tercel
I found this guy on FB with a page called "Tercel Talk" as well I think. I followed the page without reading the description and when I was browsing I saw absolutely nothing about T4s. So I commented on the page something like, "Does anyone actually talk about Tercel's on here?" ...

Re: If I can manage a suitable repower in the future
The ever present Achilles heel. There's gotta be some other motor/4x4 drive line that can be squished in there somehow.

Re: rear hatch plastic trim color?
IDK...some of mine look black, some have a grey "trim ring" with the rest looking black-ish, and some are too faded to tell the damn difference. You could try to figure it out from looking at some vintage ads for the cars when they were new...or you could just ask Bryan Thompson.

Re: If I can manage a suitable repower in the future
What size is reasonable? I have 195/75/14 ATs on my lifted T4 and it's about as sluggish as I can take. I don't know how some ppl can take the 27s or bigger. What are you running/plan on running?

Re: 1984 SR5 - Should I let these parts go? (Ie: An Enthusiast Newbie)
Hey BlueJay and welcome! I feel your pain...everytime I see a post of someone asking for a part I'm torn between pulling it from a parts car or keeping it for "what-ifs." I've become quite a parts hoarder. If you really need to move the car out of storage, you could strip everything that y...

Re: Oh Boy! What a deal!
Forum member Baileysims air bagged his Tercel. I'm not sure where the thread is on it but here's a Youtube video:

I could also use the heater panel if it's functioning properly.

Row52 is an app/website used by junkyards. It's a full part out but you have to pull the stuff yourself or pay someone to do it.

Re: Oh Boy! What a deal!
I've seen these before too. There's a guy on the FB page that will trade a Euro spec grill for a US one. At least he said he would. Only cost would be shipping...which I think would be split on a trade. I personally like the early US grills the best with the big chunky 4WD...I've been thinking about...

Re: Timing pulley guide pin???
Is that pin replaceable? If so, how do you do it? I bent one on a car trying to get a seized crank gear off. My easy fix was to just wallow out the tensioner mount a bit. Seems to be fine once the tensioner bolt is torqued to spec.

Re: 1983 Tercel Wagon 4WD SR5 | My Worst/Best Decision of my Life?
Those are really sweet wheels! Would look great on the T4. I didn't see the weight on them but I'd be concerned about 205s on 15s. I have 195s on 14s (like you) and that's about as sluggish as I want to be.

Pictures of the body AND a reasonable price...this seller obviously wants to actually sell the car instead of just having anyone who reads their listing scoff and continue on.

Super clean! I wonder why there's no pics of the body.
