the 83-84 has some slight changes in trim. not sure if it affects lights, but I do know that the '87-88 ATM is a different style than earlier ATM assemblies. It may affect the back up light. Hi Bryan, I have come across two styles of lens for the reverse light. (There may be more) I don't know if it is a Canada/US difference. The vehicle I was repairing I imported. The spare lens I had didn't fit and I had to replace the whole ATM to replace the lens. Just letting you know the anomaly....
